Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to delete the personal data Guten Ads ("we", "us", "our") holds for you, including any information we received when you connected your Facebook, Instagram, or Meta Ads account. You can delete your data at any time using any of the methods below.

What we delete

When you delete your data, we permanently remove:

  • Your Guten Ads account and profile.
  • All ad-platform connections and the encrypted OAuth tokens they use, for Google Ads and Meta (Facebook & Instagram) alike.
  • The list of ad accounts you connected and which one you selected.
  • Your saved settings and campaign history stored within Guten Ads.
  • Any connected social integrations (for example, YouTube).

Deleting your data revokes our stored access — we can no longer act on your connected accounts. Note that ad campaigns you deployed into your own ad accounts live in those platforms, not in Guten Ads; delete or pause those from within Google Ads or Meta Ads Manager directly.

Option 1 — Delete from inside your account (fastest)

  1. Sign in to Guten Ads.
  2. Go to Settings → Data & privacy.
  3. Click Delete my account, type DELETE to confirm, and choose Permanently delete.

Your account and all associated data are removed immediately and you are signed out. A short reference code is shown so you can confirm the request if you ever contact support.

Option 2 — Remove the app from Facebook

You can also revoke Guten Ads's access from Facebook, which triggers our automated data-deletion process:

  1. Open Facebook and go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites.
  2. Find Guten Ads in the list of active apps.
  3. Select it and choose Remove.

When you remove the app, Facebook notifies us with a data-deletion request. We then delete the data associated with your Facebook user id and record a confirmation you can track.

Option 3 — Email us

Prefer we handle it for you? Email support@gutenads.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete your data. We will verify the request and process it within 30 days, subject to any legal retention requirements.

Confirmation

Each deletion request is assigned a confirmation code. If a deletion was initiated by removing the app from Facebook, Facebook receives a status-tracking URL from us that reports the request's progress. For any questions about a specific request, contact support@gutenads.com and quote your confirmation code.
